Upon arrival in Arusha or at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your lodge.
Take the rest of the day to relax, recover from your journey, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Your guide will meet you for a short briefing about the safari ahead.
Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast
After breakfast, depart from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park (approximately 2 hours’ drive). Enjoy a guided walking safari, offering a unique opportunity to explore the park on foot with a ranger. Walk through lush forest and open landscapes while learning about flora, birds, and smaller wildlife often missed during game drives.
After the activity, proceed to Karatu (approximately 30-45 minutes’ drive) for your overnight stay
Meal Plan: Full Board
After an early breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater (approximately 30-45 minutes from Karatu). Descend into the crater for a half-day game drive in one of Africa’s most wildlife-rich environments. Expect to see lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and possibly the rare black rhino.
Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor, surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
In the afternoon, ascend the crater and return to your lodge for relaxation
Meal Plan: Full Board
After breakfast, depart from Karatu to Tarangire National Park (approximately 1.5 to 2 hours’ drive). Enjoy a game drive in Tarangire, famous for its large elephant herds, majestic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests.
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing with a short afternoon game drive.
Later, drive back to Arusha (approximately 2.5 to 3 hours) for your drop-off at the airport or hotel for onward travel.
