Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or pickup in Arusha, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred to your lodge.
Enjoy a calm evening in a peaceful environment, take time to relax after your journey, and prepare for the adventure ahead. Your guide will provide a short safari briefing and answer any questions.
Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, a drive of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours (about 120 km).
Tarangire is well known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy a full-day game drive through diverse habitats where you may see lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and a variety of bird species.
A picnic lunch will be served inside the park, followed by an afternoon game drive.
Later, proceed to Karatu (approximately 1.5 to 2 hours).
Meal Plan: Full Board
Start early with a drive to the Ngorongoro Crater (approximately 1 hour). Descend into the crater for a half-day game drive in this unique wildlife area.
Often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the crater is home to a dense population of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalo, flamingos, and the rare black rhino.
After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, continue your journey to Serengeti National Park (approximately 3.5 to 4.5 hours).
Enjoy wildlife viewing along the way as you enter the famous open plains.
Arrive in the late afternoon with an en-route game drive before heading to your camp.
Meal Plan: Full Board
Begin your day with an early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, the best time to see predators in action as the sun rises over the plains.
Spend the morning exploring key wildlife areas such as the Seronera Valley, known for its high concentration of big cats.
After lunch, begin your journey back to Karatu (approximately 5 hours), enjoying game viewing along the way as you exit the park and pass through the Ngorongoro highlands.
Arrive in the evening for relaxation and dinner.
Meal Plan: Full Board
After breakfast, drive to Mto wa Mbu (approximately 30 minutes) for a short cultural experience.
Here, you will explore local life, interact with the community, visit farms or markets, and learn about Tanzania’s cultural diversity. It’s a meaningful and authentic way to conclude your safari.
After the activity, return to Arusha (approximately 2 to 2.5 hours), where you will be dropped off at the airport or your hotel for your onward journey whether to Zanzibar or back home.
